Which link-building marketplace is actually best if your targets are in New Zealand 🇳🇿? Global rankings hide local differences — a platform that wins worldwide can be mediocre in one market. So we re-ran our 35-marketplace methodology on New Zealand sites only: every site in the price matrix whose top organic-traffic country is New Zealand (per Ahrefs).
That leaves 2,144 real price listings across 397 New Zealand-audience sites, with 32 marketplaces qualifying for the ranking (at least 10 New Zealand sites listed).
What we measured
Every marketplace is priced on the same pool of New Zealand sites, so they can be compared head-to-head. Five criteria, all real numbers from the listings — and the sliders below re-rank the table live:
- Catalog size — how many New Zealand sites it sells.
- Best-price wins — how often it holds the cheapest price for a site among all vendors.
- Value per DR — median price ÷ Domain Rating; lower is better.
- Value per traffic — median price per 1,000 real monthly visits; lower is better.
- Site quality — average DR of the New Zealand sites it carries.

What the New Zealand data says
- New Zealand has its own winner. Globally links.me leads, but on New Zealand sites collaborator.pro takes #1 (score 76.6): 30 sites listed and the cheapest price 36.7% of the time.
- Biggest ≠ best. meup.com lists the most New Zealand sites (208) but holds the best price only 16.3% of the time — reach without price leadership.
- needmylink.com is the value pick for audience. Its median cost per 1,000 New Zealand visits ($1,297.81) is the lowest of any large marketplace here (it ranks #14 overall).
- Shopping around pays. On 66% of New Zealand sites sold by 2+ marketplaces, the priciest listing is at least 2× the cheapest — same site, same link.
How we scored
Dataset: the seotools.info Backlink Pricing matrix — 2,250,677 listings across 468,684 sites — filtered to sites whose top organic-traffic country is New Zealand (Ahrefs metrics). Each criterion becomes a 0–100 percentile rank against the other 31 qualifying marketplaces, then blended with the weights above (defaults 15 / 15 / 15 / 15 / 15 — identical to the global ranking). Nothing is hand-picked: move the sliders and the ranking recomputes instantly. Prices are list prices from the marketplaces' own catalogs.
